Sketch Comedy
This is practical workshop where students will learn how to write and
perform sketch comedy by writing and performing original sketch comedies.
Students will be guided through the creative process, brainstorming ideas,
developing scripts, rehearsing and refining their work, and finally
performing their sketches. Emphasis is placed on skills essential to
sketch comedy work such as engaging an audience, originality of concepts,
character, and structure, and, of course, what makes for a funny joke.
The workshop will conclude with a performance of the original sketches in
front of a live audience.
Please note: Students will be expected to spend time writing and
rehearsing outside of class time.

Duration: 8 weeks - 24
