At
Montreal School of Performing Arts, we remain committed to creating a
safe learning environment where our students can become confident
actors. In the spirit of maintaining an encouraging, responsible, and collaborative
space in which students can explore their craft, none
of our workshops are geared towards performance.
Instead, the workshops provide opportunities for actors and acting
students to develop skills and to exercise their acting muscles. Class
work is always a work in progress.
At MSOPA, we place a great deal of importance on the
learning process rather than on any product.
However, Express-O-Theatre offers students a fantastic opportunity to put
all their learned skills into practice. The Express-O-Theatre season
runs from April to September, and we make it a priority to showcase
in-house talent, both on stage and behind the scenes. We encourage
students to participate in Express-O-Theatre as actors, playwrights,
assistant directors and stage managers, as well as members of the
backstage crew.
Express-O-Theatre is an esteemed and respected part
of the Montreal community, and students who take advantage of this
wonderful opportunity to partake in the Express-O
experience gain valuable professional and personal success.
